Sealing components for hvac
HVAC and refrigeration systems combine mechanical sealing of cabinets and ductwork with refrigerant and water-line sealing, and each calls for a different elastomer. Cannon Gasket supplies custom gaskets, washers, and O-rings for HVAC OEMs, refrigeration manufacturers, and commercial mechanical contractors.
Where hvac sealing shows up

HVAC Sealing Applications
Cabinet and panel sealing covers weatherstrip and door seals on rooftop units and air handlers, where neoprene sponge and EPDM hold up to weather and repeated door closing. Refrigerant line seals at fittings use neoprene and HNBR for compatibility with refrigerants, while condensate drain pan gaskets run in EPDM and polyurethane to handle constant water and biofilm exposure. For vibration isolation under compressors and condensers, Cannon supplies sponge, polyurethane, and cork-rubber pads. Ductwork sealing at flange joints uses neoprene and EPDM gaskets sized to the joint.
Materials We Supply for HVAC
Cannon stocks neoprene in both solid and sponge grades and EPDM in both solid and sponge grades, which together cover most cabinet, door, and ductwork sealing. HNBR is supplied for refrigerant contact, polyurethane for drain pans and isolation pads, and silicone for high-temperature condenser components. Cork-rubber serves vibration isolation and flange gasketing, and Mylar and Kapton are available for thermal sensor protection.
Production and Quality
Cannon runs high-volume rotary die cutting for production HVAC programs and applies PSA backing so parts can be installed in line during cabinet assembly. Custom kitting supports service and repair programs. VMI and blanket orders are available to match OEM production scheduling.
