Sealing Applications and Material Fit

Valve seals and seats are supplied in EPDM (peroxide-cured for low compression set), neoprene, and silicone for water and chlorinated-water service. Sprinkler head assemblies use EPDM and neoprene washers at the nozzle and body, while pump and manifold flanges are sealed with EPDM and Buna-N pipe fitting gaskets. Drip systems rely on small precision washers in EPDM and silicone, sized to the fitting and held to the tolerances on the customer drawing. For control boxes and access panels, Cannon cuts EPDM and neoprene sponge weatherstrip that holds up to sustained outdoor exposure.

Materials We Supply for Irrigation

Cannon stocks EPDM in solid and sponge form with both sulfur and peroxide cures for water service and outdoor weathering. Neoprene and silicone cover additional water and chlorinated-water sealing, and Buna-N handles flange and fitting gaskets. For high-wear parts, Cannon supplies polyurethane, and for rigid components it stocks polypropylene and HDPE. Material choice follows the service conditions on each part, including UV and ozone resistance for anything exposed to the weather.

Production and Quality

Cannon runs high-volume rotary and compound die cutting for production sprinkler and valve programs, with in-house tooling that keeps unit cost competitive at irrigation-industry volumes. Parts are cut to customer drawings under an ISO 9001 certified quality system. For sustained outdoor service, Cannon recommends UV-stabilized compounds matched to the exposure. Drinking-water-rated EPDM grades are available for potable-adjacent service.

Ideal: a drawing or DXF, material spec (or compound family), estimated annual volume, and any regulatory callouts (FDA, USP Class VI, AS9100, MIL-spec). If you only have a sample or a part number from a competing supplier, send that and we will reverse-engineer the spec before quoting.
What are typical lead times?
