Rubber Washers by Cannon Gasket.
Cannon Gasket has been producing precision die-cut rubber washers out of our Fontana, California plant since 1971. What started as a small die-cutting shop serving local OEMs grew into a national supplier of elastomeric washers, gaskets, shims, and custom die-cut components. We built that position on quality, responsiveness, and engineering support the bigger commodity suppliers don't bother with.
Oftentimes a rubber washer is the better choice over a conventional metal washer. A rubber washer provides a more stabilized mount when screwing or bolting two pieces together, and adds sealing capabilities where needed. We supply them in a wide variety of sizes, shapes, and material blends, precision made from the finest materials available for a longer lasting mount and seal.
Why OEMs pick Cannon Gasket for washer programs
Repeat customers are the best referral we get. Three reasons show up every time. We hold tight tolerances on every part (±.001" on critical dimensions), backed by an ISO 9001-certified quality system. We answer fast: an extensive tooling inventory and in-house die department turn new dies on short lead times for rapid turnaround, and a deep material inventory means we rarely wait on a mill shipment. We run precision high speed stamping and kiss cutting on both short and long production runs, with prototyping services to assist with R&D and modifications. No job is too large or too small. And our engineering team will help spec the right elastomer for the application (temperature range, chemical exposure, durometer, regulatory compliance) instead of forcing you into a catalog part number.
Rubber washer materials and blends we offer
We die-cut rubber washers in a wide range of compositions. Solid elastomers cover most sealing and mounting work:
- Neoprene
- EPDM
- Buna-N / Nitrile
- Silicone
- Fluorosilicone
- Viton
- Polyurethane
- SBR
- Polyisoprene
- MIL SPEC material
- FDA / medical grade
We also offer washers in foam or sponge materials. These give the same stability with sealing capability still higher than a standard metal washer, for more accurate and stable surface contact: neoprene sponge, EPDM sponge, polyurethane, polyethylene, Poron, Buna-N / nitrile sponge, and silicone sponge.
For the most stringent dimensional requirements we also run dual material blends, which widen the range of conditions a washer can handle across both long and short term applications. Blends come in open and closed cell sponges across a vast array of densities, soft, medium, and firm, with pressure sensitive adhesive applied to one side or both.
How a Cannon Gasket washer program runs
Every program starts with a drawing, CAD file, or physical sample. We quote tooling, unit price, and lead time up front, no games. Prototypes go through full first-article inspection before we authorize production. Parts ship from Fontana on JIT, VMI, or Kanban schedules that match your line.
