Neoprene O-Rings
Key Properties
- Durometer: 30A – 90A
- Moderate oil resistance
- Weather & ozone resistant
- Flame retardant
- AS568 standard sizes
Why specify Neoprene for o-rings?
Neoprene features moderate resistance to ozone, UV, weather, water, oils, greases, and solvents, making it suitable for varied applications. Often specified in HVAC, refrigeration, and outdoor industrial assemblies where premium compounds are not justified by the duty cycle.
Properties of Neoprene o-rings
Cannon Gasket cuts Neoprene o-rings to your drawing in durometer and thickness specifications of 30A to 90A Shore hardness. Moderate resistance to oils, greases, water, ozone, and refrigerants (R-12, R-22). Inherently flame retardant.
Neoprene tolerances and customization
Standard dimensional tolerances on Neoprene o-ringsland around ±0.010" to ±0.015" on OD and ID, depending on material durometer and thickness. Tighter tolerances are available on select grades. Cannon Gasket cuts Neoprene to custom profiles in-house and matches lead times to your production volume. PSA backing, pad printing, custom packaging, and kitting are all on the menu when you need them.
How Neoprene O-Rings Perform
- Service temperature -40°F to +220°F. - Moderate resistance across a range of mild exposures. - Good flame resistance.
