Viton® lathe cut washers handle the chemical and thermal extremes that demand a fluorocarbon elastomer, in thicknesses and edge profiles that die cutting cannot deliver. Cannon Gasket lathe cuts custom Viton washers from extruded FKM tube for aerospace fuel systems, chemical processing, semiconductor equipment, and oil and gas service.

Properties of Viton / FKM lathe-cut washers

Cannon Gasket cuts Viton / FKM lathe-cut washers to your drawing in durometer and thickness specifications of 60A to 90A Shore hardness. Broadest chemical resistance of any elastomer, fuels, acids, oils, aromatics, chlorinated solvents, and hydraulic fluids. Not recommended for ketones, esters, or amines.

Viton / FKM tolerances and customization

Standard dimensional tolerances on Viton / FKM lathe-cut washersland around ±0.010" to ±0.015" on OD and ID, depending on material durometer and thickness. Tighter tolerances are available on select grades. Cannon Gasket cuts Viton / FKM to custom profiles in-house and matches lead times to your production volume. PSA backing, pad printing, custom packaging, and kitting are all on the menu when you need them.

Viton Material Notes

- Service temperature -15°F to +400°F. - Broadest chemical resistance in the standard elastomer lineup. - Lower compression set than Buna-N over long service life.
