Why specify Velumoid® for gaskets?

Velumoid® is a compressed cellulose-fiber sheet bonded with rubber binder, used for low-pressure flange and cover sealing in oil, fuel, water, and air service. Cannon Gasket cuts custom Velumoid gaskets to your drawing from stocked Velumoid sheet.

Properties of Velumoid® gaskets

Cannon Gasket cuts Velumoid® gaskets to your drawing in durometer and thickness specifications of 0.016" to 0.062" thickness. Good resistance to oils, hydrocarbons, and fuels in low to medium temperature service.

Velumoid® tolerances and customization

Standard dimensional tolerances on Velumoid® gasketsland around ±0.010" to ±0.015" on OD and ID, depending on material durometer and thickness. Tighter tolerances are available on select grades. Cannon Gasket cuts Velumoid® to custom profiles in-house and matches lead times to your production volume. PSA backing, pad printing, custom packaging, and kitting are all on the menu when you need them.
