Why specify Nomex® Paper for gaskets?

Nomex® is a DuPont aramid paper used for high-temperature electrical insulation in transformers, motors, generators, and electronic assemblies. Cannon Gasket die-cuts custom Nomex paper gaskets, spacers, and insulators to your drawings.

Properties of Nomex® Paper gaskets

Cannon Gasket cuts Nomex® Paper gaskets to your drawing in durometer and thickness specifications of 0.002" to 0.030" thickness. Excellent resistance to thermal aging, flame, radiation, and most industrial chemicals. Maintains dielectric strength at elevated temperatures.

Nomex® Paper tolerances and customization

Standard dimensional tolerances on Nomex® Paper gasketsland around ±0.010" to ±0.015" on OD and ID, depending on material durometer and thickness. Tighter tolerances are available on select grades. Cannon Gasket cuts Nomex® Paper to custom profiles in-house and matches lead times to your production volume. PSA backing, pad printing, custom packaging, and kitting are all on the menu when you need them.
